I use Linkinus to connect to a chatroom where I am writing in Romanian using the Romanian keyboard layout available on Mac OS X 10.5.6. There are a few characters specific to Romanian language. The problem is with one of them, namely <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ă">"a breve"</a> (looking like this: &#258; &#259;), which isn't being displayed at all when someone other than me types it. I can see it in my own messages, but not in messages written by others. It isn't being replaced by question marks or anything else, it's just not there. Moreover, the following two or three characters following it in a word are also missing. </p> <p>Please note that I am using UTF-8 encoding for all servers I conect to. Also the font I am using is Lucida Grande, which has the entire set of Romanian characters.</p> <p>Any ideas? Thanks! </p>
