Okeanos: if your question was to me, I use "whisper / default style" font size 10px. Also, while I'm here anyway, I should note that I have show emoticons disabled, and embed media disabled.

Could you give I Are Sea! a try and check the performance?
Just switched to I Are Sea!. Restarted Linkinus afterwards, but didn't kill the Agent. Will report back later.

I will report back after a full day tomorrow, but after switching to I Are Sea! AND killing the Agent, things have been fine. The first time I switched I restarted Linkinus but did NOT restart the Agent, and things were still bad.
Andrew Davidoff
Okay, using I Are Sea! after restarting Linkinus and the Agent seems to have cleared this problem. Unfortunately, "colorize nicknames" doesn't work with I Are Sea! which makes it pretty painful for me to use. Hopefully this points you in the right direction for a fix though?
Andrew Davidoff
Me? Not really. The Devs? Hopefully.
After further thought and troubleshooting, the issue was resolved on my side by disabling flood protection and lowering the amount of the WHOs that the client sends out. I've had maybe 1 freeze in the last 2 weeks since I changed it.
I have switched back to Whisper with flood control disabled to see how it goes. Thanks for the tip, xorphenochx.

Switching back to Whisper with flood control disabled got bad again. Using I Are Sea! with flood control disabled still seems fine.

Thanks for the feedback.
As far as I know there is a beta release available and has been since yesterday at the very least.
As Okeanos stated, 2.0.3 Beta/20939 is available for testing and should solve or improve the hang problem.
If you want to test this unstable version, please "Check for updates" if you're part of the beta program, or sign up at http://linkinus.com/beta
Regards,
I am using the beta in the same way I was using the stable release. So far so good, but it has only been a day. Will report back either when the problem resurfaces, or (hopefully) after a few days with no issues.
Thanks for your work on this, and everything else in the beta/upcoming release.

Cool. Please let us know how things turn out.
5 days later and I have only had the familiar "hang" happen twice. Seems fixed to me!
