    I'm new to Linkinus. I can't seem to find some important settings.

    1. How do I turn on the console, or access it?

    2. How do I view notices? I'd prefer in channel, or in a query (like a pm?).

    3. If I need the beta to do 2, where can I get that?

    1. To view the console, highlight the name of the network you're on in the side bar. For example, if you're on Freenode, you'll see an entry on the left that says 'FREENODE' with a little arrow. Click on that FREENODE entry and you'll get the console.

    2. Unfortunately you can't send notices to the channel anymore, which is incredibly irritating. Your choices are to redirect them to the console (see above), or to direct them to query. The tick box to change that setting is in Preferences > Miscellaneous, in the middle section.

    Actually, you can send notices to the channel, download the current beta, there's an option for it now. Cuz I bitched about it, so they fixed it ;)

    (And I forget how to download the beta atm, i'll check)

  5. As of today there is no need to download the beta. The new 2.1.1 version as this built-in (yes, Patch, because you whined about it! ;))
